I’ve had the honor to work alongside Rebekah over the last four years on various anti-oppression initiatives and programming and I can confidently say that Rebekah is one of the most fierce advocates of justice and liberation that I have ever known in my twenty year career. There is no one I trust more in helping me to navigate difficult and complex conversations about oppression and liberation - she has been an invaluable guide helping me navigate the work I do as a DEI and Anti-racism practitioner. Rebekah is also a courageous and sincere leader who has a steadfast commitment to social change. I give my highest recommendations to anyone interested in partnering with Rebekah.

I had the pleasure to work with Rebekah on a community-building initiative that is very dear to me and my family. The level of emotional intelligence and allyship she showed me during our planning process, as well as after, is memorable and forever imprinted in my mind. I’ve worked with a lot of professionals and community organizers in my personal and professional life. I love meeting people that possess soft skills that build bridges and community. We need more humans like Rebekah in the world!!

Rebekah is a thoughtful and intentional leader. She leads with a global worldview that requires you to think deeply about your investment in the liberation of yourself and others. Without her proactive guidance to examine casteism in my community, I certainly would not be as far along in my journey as I am now in accessing the vocabulary, knowledge, and sensibilities it takes to unpack the layers of oppression riddled in my cultural and genealogical history.

Rebekah has a keen ability to see inside her clients what they may not be able to see and calls it forth.
— Tamice Spencer-Helms, Client
Rebekah has been a truly transformative force in my personal life. The way she has gently held my intersecting identities and spoken life and truth to into me when I’ve struggled to reconcile the dissonance of Christians vs. Christ while actively decolonizing and reclaiming my indigenous Thamizh cultures has truly been life-giving. So grateful for someone who has so many similar and yet different lived experiences as myself to do this journey with.

I absolutely loved being in this virtual space with everyone and so grateful for your incredible facilitation. You were a caring and thoughtful discussion leader. You helped us sit with the difficulties and complexities that the book was bringing up. And you also brought in so much inspiration and vulnerability to this space and I felt nourished by these weekly conversations. I am now more confident about exploring and investigating further my own complicities with caste supremacy and the role of caste in my Bangalee lineage. It made a huge difference to be in a brown space having this conversation. I am sure that from now on my activism and research will both be shaped by this experience.

Rebekah is a thoughtful and present facilitator. She seeks to create space that centers those who usually are pushed out or gaslit. Her compassion is consistently refreshing, and her ability to see clearly and speak honestly is deeply necessary.

Where do I begin to describe the goodness and faithfulness of my dear friend and comrade, Rebekah James Lovett? Rebekah is a fierce protector, a gentle caregiver, a devoted friend devoted to the cause of liberation, an exceptional truth-teller who never makes an exception to tell nothing but the whole truth. The ancestral wisdom within her has gifted me with life-giving language to name things I could not name and I know it has done the same for many others in our shared community. Her fire lights the path to better ways of being, living, and belonging. Her intuition leads the way towards healing and wholeness for the individual and the collective. We are all better because of her.
— Co-Conspirator
It has really helped me find community and like minded people who are willing to do the work together and invite each other’s experiences, past traumas and build a meaningful future together. I have been estranged from community due to the pandemic housing and job crisis as well as my choice to reevaluate and comprehend my faith which left a big void inside of me. This space helped me reconnect again and heal parts of my heart and laugh and cry and talk openly in this sacred space. I am forever grateful for this opportunity to join the space 🙏

Rebekah is a dear sister and I wholeheartedly recommend her as a trustworthy spiritual director. Demonstrating compassion, wisdom, and sacred listening, Rebekah offers attentive guidance that directs individuals in their spiritual journeys. Throughout our friendship, I have observed her commitment to fostering understanding and offering needed space for people to discern the Spirit and to listen to the genuine (imago Dei) self within through difficult moments in their lives while also giving space for them to non-coercively encounter God’s presence. Rebekah has repeatedly taken on a significant accompanying role for others in our faith community. I’ve witnessed her share her presence and gifts to guide others on their paths with grace. Engaging with Rebekah would be an investment in your own spiritual journey as you seek to draw closer to community, creation, and our calling through the Spirit.
